 Throughout the course so far, I have learned and developed new skills. 1 skill is critical thinking. I have had to use critical thinking in different areas of the course so far. This was used when given a topic to talk about the impact of something in the sports industryS this topic was based on the impact of covid throughout sports. Critical thinking was used for this as myself and my partner had to think about what happened in the sports industry when the pandemic hit. This includes what happened to the financial side of sports throughout the pandemic. I feel I have improved when it comes to critical thinking. This is because I am able to think about what happened in something. This includes the impact that covid had in sports as well as much  more. I can also work towards being more of a critical thinker as Rollins(2010) states that “to build upon critical thinking, you can examine skills such as organisation, problem solving and asking questions”.  Piggott (2020) researched that a wide range of nations and regions have identified sport leadership as being gender imbalances and gender inequitable. Piggott also found that gender balances boards have a positive impact on an athletes overall performance. As well as this, it is argued that women bring in new and different and improve the atmosphere. Some positives from this research include that more women can become role models when being a leader or a coach towards younger athletes. This will increase the chances of more women getting involved in sports physically or as a coach in the sports industry. Another positive from this which relates to more female athletes being role models is that this will help increase participation for younger female athletes.
